Krishna Pokhrel Appointed as Nepal Chamber of Commerce Representative to Greece

Kathmandu, March 13, 2026 | Nepal Chamber of Commerce has appointed businessman and international relations expert Krishna Pokhrel as its representative to Greece.
At a program organized at the Chamber Secretariat in Jamal, Kathmandu, Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, Chairman of the Chamber’s Advisory Council, handed over the appointment letter to Pokhrel. Nepal Chamber of Commerce President Kamlesh Kumar Agrawal was also present at the event.
On the occasion, Advisory Council Chairman Shrestha expressed confidence that Pokhrel’s experience and international network would be vital in expanding trade, investment, and business collaboration between Nepal and Greece. “His contribution to connecting the Nepali community and business sector abroad is commendable. We are confident that, as the Chamber’s representative, he will further strengthen Nepal-Greece economic relations,” Shrestha stated.
Similarly, Chamber President Agrawal emphasized the importance of the representative’s role in promoting international collaboration between the private sectors and expressed confidence that Pokhrel would play an effective role in increasing cooperation with Nepali businessmen and the community in Greece.
The newly appointed representative Pokhrel expressed his commitment to the responsibility entrusted to him and stated that he would actively work to promote trade, tourism, and investment between Nepal and Greece. “Expanding economic and cultural relations I will strive to enhance cooperation between businesses, institutions and the Nepali community of both countries ,” he said.
Pokhrel, who has been doing business in Greece for a long time is the operator of the ‘Himalaya EE’ restaurant chain in Athens and Thessaloniki. Active in hospitality and education, he is also affiliated with the ‘E. Koropoull Private School’ in Athens.
In 2024, he successfully organized a passport registration program for Nepalis residing in Greece in collaboration with the Nepali Embassy in Austria and Greek government authorities. Having organized various social and cultural programs for the Nepali community Pokhrel is recognized for his experience in international relations, multicultural dialogue, and diplomatic coordination .
For his contributions to the business sector he has received various international honors, including ‘Businessman of the Year 2022’ in Athens. Pokhrel has pursued higher education in science and international relations and has strong hold in Nepali, English, Hindi, and Greek languages.
Nepal Chamber of Commerce has stated that the appointment of Pokhrel is expected to expand cooperation with Nepali businessmen and communities in Greece as well as help to strengthen economic and cultural relations between Nepal and Greece.
